Maintains the stockroom and is responsible for the receipt and distribution of supplies. Maintains accurate inventory of all items located in central supply and in each nursing unit.
Essential Functions- Assists with supply check-in and verify against purchase order
- Distributes supplies to appropriate location
- Assures that the stockroom is clean, safe, and orderly
- Assists with physical inventory
- Collects and fills supply requisitions and delivers to the unit/floor
- With supervisor’s approval, orders supplies from designated vendors
- Receives supply shipments and routes packing slips to appropriate department heads
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
- Communicates supply chain concerns to supervisor immediately
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to communicate in English effectively through verbal and written means to the extent necessary to perform job duties appropriately. Reading and comprehension at level necessary to perform job duties appropriately
- Ability to work under stress and to respond quickly in emergency situations. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when working or interacting with patients, their families, and other staff members
- High School diploma or equivalent
