Field Store Associate – Job Description
The Field Store Associate is a part‑time position at Lowe’s Store #1790, Livingston, TX, responsible for driving and increasing sales in the Paint and Pro departments. The role focuses on engaging customers, generating leads, implementing sales and marketing programs, providing exceptional customer service, and managing merchandising.
The average schedule is weekdays/afternoons/weekends, subject to business needs.
Responsibilities- Drive sales growth and achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
- Deliver excellent sales service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist customers in person by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
- Build productive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations.
- Maintain Pro customer color files; tint and mix products to customer specifications.
- Maintain adequate store appearance, inventory best practices, and the appearance of the color wall and back stock.
- Facilitate in‑person customer connectivity between the paint and pro desks.
- Provide in‑store Pro Desk paint support for real‑time customer needs, Lowe’s Pro Sales, and paint program execution, including in‑store promotional events.
- Promote and represent Sherwin‑Williams and Valspar brand standards and product strengths to Lowe’s associates, customers, and contractors.
- Assist Sales Representatives in generating sales leads by interacting with customers.
- Train Lowe’s associates on product knowledge and application methods.
- Complete eLearning Modules and keep HR Cloud trainings up to date and in compliance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
- Experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
- Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
