As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing client engagements while working closely with firm leadership and clients.

Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Review
  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate tax returns
  • Review work papers and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Assist with tax notices and tax authority correspondence
  • Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality standards
Tax Planning & Advisory
  • Assist clients with proactive tax planning strategies
  • Identify opportunities to reduce tax exposure and improve outcomes
  • Research technical tax issues and prepare recommendations
  • Support business and individual planning initiatives
  • Stay current on tax law developments and regulatory changes
Client Service & Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Communicate directly with business owners and individual clients
  • Respond to client questions and provide ongoing support
  • Assist clients with planning, decision-making, and problem solving
  • Serve as a trusted resource throughout the year
Leadership & Mentorship
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff
  • Review work prepared by less experienced team members

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Experience preparing business and individual tax returns
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
Preferred
  • CPA license or active CPA candidate
  • Tax planning experience
  • Experience reviewing returns and work papers
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Advisory or consulting experience
