- Starting Salary: $66,664.00
- After Six Months of Successful Employment: $67,891.20
- After One Year of Successful Employment: $69,118.40
- Maximum salary is achieved after four successful years of employment.
NOTE:
Annual salary adjustments may also occur, based on collective bargaining agreements.
Duties include processing requisitions; closing purchase orders; providing assistance to other employees throughout the City in regard to purchasing procedures and financial software; organizing budget materials for the preliminary and final budgets; assisting in year-end procedures; preparing reports; researching information; assisting in fulfilling FOIA requests; analyzing and organizing office operations; maintaining the purchase order files; maintaining the vendor file; audition and maintaining the copier for the department;
surveying and coordinating leases for City copiers; answering the telephone; binding budget books and contract; preparing correspondence and reports for Finance Director and other Finance/Accounting personnel; assisting with Accounting Division duties as needed; primary P-Card administrator and performing other duties as assigned. The Program Supervisor works with confidential information and must be discreet in sharing such information with others on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years full-time, paid clerical work with experience in supervising activities or project management with a two-year Associates Degree; OR
- A minimum of five (5) years full-time paid clerical work with experience in supervising activities or project management; and
NOTE:
Unofficial proof of college transcripts must be submitted at the time of application. Official high school diploma or valid equivalency and official degree or official transcripts must be submitted at the time of interview.
Written Test - 30% Performance Test - 20% Interview - 50%
NOTE:
Up to 12 applicants who score highest on the written and performance tests will be invited to interview. The required minimum typing speed is 45 words per minute.

Candidates must pass the written test, performance test, and interview in order to be placed on the eligible list.

- Learn the operation, policy and procedures of assigned department; perform a wide variety of administrative duties on behalf of a high level administrator with little or minimal supervision; analyze situation accurately and develop effective courses of action; perform administrative detail work; prepare clear and concise reports; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work;
exhibit high degree of accuracy in performance of assigned functions and review of others' work product; protect confidential information; process numerous tasks in a calm demeanor (multitask).
