Position: Full Time Dynamometer Technicians (322)

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Dynamometer Technicians for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. We are seeking hard-working, motivated and dedicated Dynamometer Technicians to join our team. The Dynamometer Technician is responsible for engine set-up, including instrumentation, monitoring the test while it's running, and engine removal. They will also be supporting programs that require powertrain mapping, combustion analysis, emission testing and engine power/mechanical development.

This Full-time Dynamometer Technicians position based out of Livonia, MI., and offers AM day shift, PM night shift and overnight shifts! Candidates who meet the requirements for this Dynamometer Technician position below are strongly encouraged to apply.

Shift Schedule
  • PM overnight shift: 12:00 am – 8:00 am (Monday – Friday + overtime & weekends as needed)
    • Must be able to work 7 days a week, as needed
    • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, as needed
Retirees and veterans are welcome. Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of powertrain dynamometer testing experience
  • Must have excellent engine mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Must be proficient with computers, including MS Office applications and dynamometer controls operation experience
  • Must have own tools and a rolling tool box
  • Must be willing to learn and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be flexible, eager to learn and have a strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
  • Associate degree or technical training in an automotive related field
  • Engine teardown/build skills and able to follow an engine assembly manual
  • Powertrain calibration, diagnostics or controls experience
  • Able to perform simple fabrications
  • Experience or training with AVL PUMA 2.0 and/or A & D iTest dynamometer controls
  • Experience or training with iTest, ADAPT and/or Horiba emission bench experience
  • Overtime when available
  • No certification required
