Construction Estimator; Self-Perform Trades

We are a well-established construction firm based in Livonia, Michigan, with a strong presence throughout the Midwest. For decades, we’ve built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects by blending skilled craftsmanship with innovative solutions.

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year.

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and calculate material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare and present detailed bid proposals for review by clients and internal teams.
• Monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure estimates meet timelines and budgetary requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a proven track record of delivering accurate estimates on time.
