The Civil Foremanleadsafieldcrewinexecutingcivilconstructionworksafely ,efficiently,andtothehighestqualitystandards.

Thisrolebridgesthesuperintendent’sdirectionwiththedailyoperationsofthecrew,ensuringplansarecommunicated,resourcesaremanaged,andprojectsarecompletedontimeandspecification.

• Represent Gross Constructionprofessionallyon -sitethroughstrongcommunication,jobsitecleanliness,responsiveness,and attitude.
• Serveastheprimaryon-sitepointofcontactfortheGCsuperintendent,inspectors,engineers,andothertradepartners.
• Providecleardailyupdatesonprogress,constraints,andupcomingneeds.
• Makesoundfield-leveldecisionsindependentlyandescalateappropriatelywhenimpactstoscope,cost,orschedulearise.
• Proactivelyaddressminorissuesbeforetheybecomerework,delays,orformaldisputes.

• Review drawings,specifications,utility plans,grading plans,andupcomingworktoensurecrewsarepreparedandalignedbeforeexecution.
• Understandscopeboundariesandcoordinateconflicts,missing information,orplandiscrepanciesbeforeworkbegins.
• Verifylayoutaccuracyincludingelevations,grades,offsets,benchmarks,utilitylocations,andcontrolpointspriortoexcavationorinstallation.
• Understandtheintentoftheplansandspecifications,whileapplyingpracticalfieldjudgementtodeterminehowtheworkwillbeexecutedsafelyandeffectivelyinreal-worldconditions.

• Trainanddevelopoperators,laborers,pipelayers,andgradepersonnelthroughhands-onteaching,coaching,andtaskleadership.
• Providereal-timefeedbacktodriveimprovement,accountability,andjobsitestandards.
• Identifystrengthsandgrowthopportunitieswithinthecreandcreatechancesforteammemberstostepup.
• Leadbyexampleinprofessionalism,quality,workethic,andcorevaluebehaviors.

• Plandailyexecutionbasedonscheduledemands,manpower,siteconditions,andrequiredinspections.
• Ensure equipment,materials,pipe,aggregate,lasersystems,andtoolsarestagedaheadofproduction.
• Adjustplansproactivelyasconditionschange(weather,access,delays,manpowerissues).
• Maintainaclean,safe,andorganizedworkareawhilesequencingworktopreventdowntimeandrework.
• Protectcompletedworkfromdamageandcoordinateefficientlywithothertrades.
• Keepcrewsworkingfromaclearandcommunicatedplan–notreactingallday.

• Executeallcivilscopestospecificationand Gross Constructionstandardswithafocusonsafety ,accuracy,production,drainageperformance,andlong-termdurability.
• Leadfieldexecutionfromlayoutthroughcompletion,ensuringworkisbuiltcorrectlythefirsttimeandprotecteduntilturnover.

• Deliverproperlypreparedbuildingpads,parking lots,roadways,andsitegradesthatmeetdesignintentandcompactionrequirements.
• Verifyexistinggrades,benchmarks,andcontrolpointsbeforeexcavationorfilloperations.
• Monitorcut/filloperationstomaintainproperelevations,slopes,drainage,andmaterialbalance.
• Coordinateproofrolling,compactiontesting,moisture conditioning,andcorrectiveactionsasneeded.
• Maintainstableworkareasandpropererosioncontrolthroughoutconstruction.

• Installundergroundutilitiesaccuratelywhilemaintainingsafety,production,andinspectionreadiness.
• Verifyutilitylocations,invertelevations,slopes,structures,bedding,andtrenchdimensionspriortoinstallation.
• Ensureproperpipehandling,bedding,backfill,andcompactionproceduresarefollowed.
• Coordinate inspections,pressuretesting,airtesting,andotherproject-specific requirements.
• Protectexistingutilitiesandimmediatelycommunicateunforeseenconflicts.

• Executesitedevelopmentworkthatmeetsengineeringrequirements,drainageintent,andownerexpectations.
• Coordinatecloselywithconcretecrews,utilitycontractors,pavingcontractors,landscapers,electricians,andothersitetrades.
• Verifycurbgrades,pavementsubgrades,aggregatethickness,drainagestructures,ADAinterfaces,andtie-instoexistingimprovements.
• Maintainqualitycontrolthroughfinalwalk-throughsfocusedondrainageperformance,gradingaccuracy,accessibility,andconstructability.
