Position Overview
Support Staff/Instructional Assistant
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Lewis Cass Elementary School. This position is to assist in classrooms and resource rooms for the kindergarten grade levels.
Description- Ability to work under the direction of the supervising teacher
- Participate in in-service training
- Provide small group and/or individual instruction as planned by the teacher
- Work with students with varying abilities and educational needs
- Follow work schedules as designed by the teacher
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff
- Knowledge of content in assigned areas
- Understanding and implementation of confidentiality
- Performing any other duties assigned byteacher
- High school diploma
- 60 hours of college credit or paraprofessional certification preferred
- Completion of Indiana and Federal background requirements
