This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Lewis Cass special education program.
Description:- Ability to work under the direction of both special education teacher and general education teachers
- Participate in in-service training
- Provide small group and/or individual instruction as planned by the teacher
- Work with students with varying abilities and special education needs
- Follow work schedules as designed by the teacher
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff
- Knowledge of content in assigned areas
- Understanding and implementation of confidentiality
- Assisting related services such as: occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech/language therapy
- Performing any other duties assigned by the special education teacher
- High school diploma
- 60 hours of college credit or paraprofessional certification preferred
- Completion of Indiana and Federal background check requirements
