Job Summary:

Classroom Instructor

• Provide classroom instruction in Nutrition and Food Science areas as assigned.

• Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or Dietetics or a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Nutrition, Food Science, or Dietetics.

• Two (2) years college-level teaching experience.

  Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents; ability to write speeches and articles; ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints; ability to give persuasive presentations.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, and basic geometry/trigonometry concepts; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability:
  Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a range of problems; interpret symbols, graphs, and abstract concepts.
• Physical Demands:
  Standing, handling, talking; occasional reaching, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; ability to lift up to 10 lbs. (up to 25 lbs. rarely); vision requirements including near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.

• Work may occur near moving mechanical parts and in laboratories; adherence to safety rules and proper operation of laboratory equipment is required. Noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
