Job Title: Classroom Instructor – Part‑time

Job Summary: The instructor will deliver courses in the Department of Geography on a part‑time basis.

Applicants must submit these documents at the end of the application process. The number of part‑time instructors hired varies each semester; the applicant pool remains open on an ongoing basis.

• Master’s degree in Geography, or a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 18 credit hours in Geography.

• Two (2) years of college‑level teaching experience.

• Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; respond to inquiries or complaints; write speeches, articles; make persuasive presentations.
• Mathematical Skills – Proficiency with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions.
• Reasoning Ability – Apply logical or scientific thinking to intellectual and practical problems; handle abstract and concrete variables.

The role may require standing, using hands, talking or hearing. Occasionally reaching, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; holding up to 25 lbs. The environment may include moving mechanical parts, laboratory safety, moderate noise level.
