LOCATION: Clarenceville Middle School

SCHEDULE: 2026-27 School Year

SALARY: Per the CEA Agreement

• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate

• A Math or Science (EX, DX, or DI) Endorsement preferred, but not required
• Experience in a related field of studies with relevant specialization and experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with a focus on student learning
• Ability to establish productive relationships with students, parents and staff that allows for productive collaboration
• Ability to appropriately integrate technology within instruction
• Ability to effectively plan and deliver quality instruction in-person
• Ability to use of Atlas and Google Classroom consistent with the District curriculum and instructional expectations
• Compentency in student management and supervision
• Understanding the academic and social emotional needs of young children
• Interest / ability to lead extra-curricular activities
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective practices for working with students of all ability levels, able to differentiate instruction
• Willingness to try and share new ideas, techniques, and strategies
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
• Effective use of balanced assessment (formative and summative)
• Understanding of classroom strategies and systems of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

• Provide an educational program that meets the educational needs of each student in the teacher's area of responsibility
• Provide instruction consistent with District and school expectations and which meets the educational needs of all students assigned to the teacher
• Communicate with students, parents, administrators and other staff members in a manner which is consistent with District and school expectations
• Maintain student records, organize resources and foster a learning environment which are consistent with District and school expectations, while setting high expectations for student learning.
• Plan, prepare, and implement instruction and assessment to measure student growth
• Function as a collaborative and contributing team member within the CHS staff, especially the English Department
• Participate in professional development opportunities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
• Communicate student progress and development with parents and staff in a timely fashion
• Demonstrate creative and innovative lesson plans that contribute to a highly engaged learning community that helps to foster a students ability to implement and use the 6 C's of education and 21st century competencies
• Create a caring and nurturing learning environment that allows for emotional and social growth for all learners
• Maintains a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
• Implements useful progress monitoring assessment measures
• Effectively uses multiple forms of assessment and progress data to plan
  -guide instruction and inform the learner
• Establishes a cooperative relationship with all students
• Fosters a sense of appreciation and enthusiasm for the content area
• Engages in professional growth activities through an ongoing program of job-related knowledge and skill development
• Takes direction from the building and District administration
• Contributes and participates in efforts related to school and district goals
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance
• Other duties as assigned by the administration
