GSRP Floating Caregiver

Help young learners feel safe, supported, and ready to grow. Community Unlimited is seeking a dependable, caring, and flexible Floating Caregiver to support our preschool classrooms.

This position travels among assigned Community Unlimited locations to provide classroom coverage and assist teaching teams where support is needed. If you enjoy working with young children, adapting to different classrooms, and being someone your team can count on, we would love to hear from you.

• Pay: $16.32–$19.58 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, as needed during the school year.
• Location: Assigned Community Unlimited GSRP classrooms; local travel required.
• Reports to: Program Director.

• Provide active supervision and help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom.
• Support teachers with learning activities, play, and daily routines.
• Assist children with meals, snacks, toileting, and other personal care needs.
• Encourage positive behavior, independence, and social skills.
• Provide coverage across classrooms and adjust to changing program needs.
• Help keep classrooms, materials, and equipment clean and organized.
• Assist with attendance and other required classroom records.
• Follow individual health and safety plans, maintain confidentiality, and communicate professionally with staff and families.
• Participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Patience, dependability, and a genuine interest in supporting young children.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work at different locations and reliable transportation to assigned sites.
• Ability to meet applicable background-check, health, licensing, and training requirements.
• Ability to perform active classroom duties, including indoor and outdoor activities and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Experience working with preschool-age children is preferred.
