Personal & Professional Learning offers a diverse range of non-credit courses and programs designed to enrich the lives of adult and senior learners. Classes are taught by experienced professionals who bring expertise, creativity, and passion to the learning experience. Instructors may develop and teach new courses or lead existing offerings in their area of expertise. Classes vary in format, schedule, and duration, ranging from single-session workshops to multi-week courses and full-semester programs.
Successful candidates will create engaging, welcoming, and inclusive learning environments that encourage creativity, skill development, and lifelong learning.

Schoolcraft College Personal & Professional Learning is seeking an instructor to teach non-credit ceramics courses in accordance with approved course outlines, studio policies, and safety procedures. Prepare and deliver engaging instructional content, demonstrate ceramic techniques, monitor student progress and maintain a safe and organized studio environment.

• Previous ceramics teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ceramic techniques, processes, tools, and studio practices.
• Ability to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of ceramic supplies, kiln firing, equipment, and materials.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students exhibiting varied skill levels and learning styles.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with ceramics faculty members (credit and non-credit).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in community education, adult learning, or non-credit instructional settings.
