This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to PTME and delivering New Model Powertrain Programs. We are seeking a passionate, purposeful and customer centric leader to join our team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer.
Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and Gears manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in southeast Michigan and Ohio.
What you'll do...
* Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and Gears manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in southeast Michigan and Ohio.
* Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal cutting and grinding to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint.
* Lead equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the powertrain plants.
* Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders.
* Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues.
* Interface and coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging.
* Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput.
* Travel up to 100% to SE Michigan and Ohio Manufacturing Plants during equipment installation and launch.
