Mechanical Engineer I – Responsibilities- Partner with designers to produce 3D designs for mechanical equipment in an accurate and timely manner under the supervision of lead engineer or supervisor.
- Participate in engineering calculations and analysis for design efforts and projects.
- Read, analyze, interpret, and create technical documents, engineering drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Assist in the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness of designs.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and next steps to customers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Interface with internal and external customers and vendors to ensure satisfactory technical requirements and schedules.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure new and current customer demands and standards are met.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Exposure to complex mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical motors and actuators).
- Familiarity with computer‑aided design (CAD) software, such as Solid Works or Siemens NX Unigraphics (UG).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical data to various audiences.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to provide robust solutions to complex problems in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
- Multiple themed entertainment industry or relevant engineering internships.
- 2+ years’ experience utilizing Solid Works in school projects or internships.
- Manufacturing experience machining, metal forming, code welding, and composites.
- Interpretation and application of ASTM F24 standards.
