Engineering Specialist Maintenance - Gears In this Position
Responsible for leading MOS (Maintenance Operating System) initiatives within the production and facilities department.
What You’ll Do- Optimization of current production processes and maintenance tasks
- Lead equipment rebuilds
- Project and shutdown planning with engineers and production
- Spare part inventory auditing
- Developing preventative / predictive maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime

- Report out of key metrics around maintenance
- Providing input on new equipment design and purchase
- Supporting new model / equipment launch as required
- Lead UAW Personnel
- Education:
High School Diploma - Experience:
- Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause
- Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salary team members
- Must be a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and see them through to completion with limited supervision
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
- Maintenance experience
- Computer efficiency
- Ability to work various shifts
- Education:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferred. Equivalent experience accepted - Experience:
3-5 years experience in manufacturing - Lean implementation
- AutoCAD
- High volume Mfg/Assembly
- Maximo
- Excel
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical manuals
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between shop floor technicians and corporate engineering teams
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on "value-added" reporting and problem-solving

This position is a salary grade 6 - 7 and ranges from $72,480 - $141,360.
