Director of Finance

We are seeking a Controller / Director of Finance / CFO to oversee multiple plant locations, oversee staff and has a good understanding of manufacturing accounting to assist growing mid-sized privately owned Michigan Manufacturing Group. Should have used or seen manufacturing cost & systems.

• Work with Company President, plant managers and accounting team to provide financial guidance for manufacturing and operations finance issues.
• Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.

• Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience developing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and financial reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Extensive experience in corporate finance, including cash flow management, cost control, and profitability analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and partnering with senior executives.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements, as well as experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site with cross-functional teams.
• You could be a Tier 2 or small Tier 1 CFO to a Director of Finance in a larger manufacturer.
