JOB SUMMARY

The Athletic Trainer develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive health care programs for patients, clients, and athletes. The practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being of individuals under the direction of a physician.

Licensure:

* Current State of Michigan Licensed Athletic Trainer

* Membership in or eligibility for membership in National Athletic Trainers Association, preferred

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Experience:

* Experience and demonstrated competence/independence in handling challenging case load of patients and clients for physical therapy rehabilitative care and sports performance training, preferred.

* Collegiate Athletic Experience, preferred.

* Professional or Collegiate Training experience, preferred.
