POSITION PAY RANGE: $14.00
TARGET HIRING RANGE: Actual pay offered will be commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience, the type of role, pay equity and available funding.
SUMMARY:The South Hall Lead Desk Attendant position assists in the administrative responsibilities and daily operations of the Residential Hall front desks. Primary responsibilities include the training and co-supervising of undergraduate front desk staff; maintaining an informative, organized, and neat work space; and creating a friendly informative resource for residential students and visitors. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission and vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Must be a Davenport University student, enrolled at least half-time.
- Residence Life / Campus Life experience required.
- Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work creatively, accurately and effectively with computerized data systems (Word, Excel, PC and mainframe).
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral which transcend diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and relate well to students, parents, faculty, staff, and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
