BRIEF
POSITION SUMMARY:
The IM Operations Refurbishment Technician is responsible for the tasks associated with preparing returned vending equipment for future disposition (redeployment or scrap) and supporting the other various program objectives such as machine crate recycling, accessory/peripheral redeployment, etc.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for adhering to the policies and procedures of the vending refurbishment center.
- Responsible for the following refurbishment center processes:
- Equipment refurbishment – Test, clean, upgrade, repair and ready for redeployment.
- Accessories/Peripherals – salvage/recycle when applicable and process incoming orders.
- Crate recycling – supports process by separating crates from machines and storing in designated areas then processing all inbound crate orders for program cancellations.
- PC reimaging and licensing – follow documented procedures for reimaging and licensing returned PC's for redeployment.
- Follows all designated asset tracking requirements.
- Supports workflow optimization initiatives to improve turnaround times and quality of product output.
- Follows all ES&H guidelines for equipment and e‑waste disposal.
- Ensures all special operational project deliverables are met on time with expected outcomes.
- Supports and upholds a clean, safe, 5S environment.
- Assists with cycle counting of on-hand equipment and accessories/peripherals.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required by management.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:- Associate’s degree or equivalent business experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of inventory management experience preferred.
- Previous experience within vending related business preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.
- Self‑starter with good time management skills required.
- Ability to support complex projects is required.
- Excellent PC skills are required.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment across various project phases is required.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Fosters a "best practice" environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
Compensation starting at $22.26 - $25.30 per hour depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
