- Lead all projects while maintaining professionalism, courtesy, respect, and helpfulness at all times.
- Set clear direction, effectively allocate resources, and ensure high standards of project execution.
- Conduct initial client meetings to determine the project scope and necessary resources for successful completion.
- Oversee the entire construction effort to ensure projects adhere to safety, quality, design, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Communicate directly with client representatives, architects, engineers, and other contractors.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules.
- Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, rental equipment, and income/expenses.
- Estimate and manage additional work requirements and issue change orders.
- Ensure the productivity of craft workers, efficient use of materials and equipment, and overall contractual performance of the project.
- Represent the company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations and strategy sessions.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
- Manage project costs effectively.
- Coordinate subcontractors and lead contractor meetings.
- Draft and manage subcontracts and change orders.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise.
- Oversee the efficient and thorough closeout of the project, including financial aspects.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership abilities and a keen interest in developing new client accounts.
- Capable of managing all aspects of a project, including technical, safety, scheduling, cost, and financial responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera, AutoCAD, and Viewpoint software.
- Preferably experienced in the automotive sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and planning skills.
- A four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in managing heavy industrial projects, specifically in structural steel.
