This position will have multiple responsibilities. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving, material movement, material processing, and customer interaction/satisfaction. The Shop Technician will identify information and counts or weights of incoming and outgoing shipments, compare this information against bills of lading, manifests, invoices, or other records, and ensure outgoing shipments meet DOT specifications and are properly labeled. This position will operate a forklift truck or use other mechanical assistance to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
DOT Hazmat experience, waste management, respirator, and OSHA HAZWOPER training are beneficial but not required as we will train. A basic understanding of chemistry, organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, and multitasking is a must.
