CNC Lathe Machinist

Location: Livonia, MI Shift: 2nd (4:00 PM–2:30 AM)
Pay: $23–$35/hr Sign‑On Bonus: $1,500 after 90 days Shift Premium: 20%

We’re seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in Livonia, MI. In this role, you’ll work with a certified manufacturer specializing in precision gears and aerospace components, supporting prototype and production programs for the aerospace, automotive, and defense industries.

• CNC Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications.
• Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T requirements to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Tooling & Adjustment: Install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, and stock pushers to optimize production. In addition, you will also be expected to perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections, maintain production logs, and follow all safety and quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes.
• Experience with dual spindles, maltas, or turn/mill operations preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.
• Reliable attendance and attention to detail.

• Technical Accuracy:
  Ability to perform precise machining operations and maintain tight tolerances.
• Troubleshooting:
  Skilled in identifying and resolving mechanical or process issues quickly.
• Teamwork & Communication:
  Collaborates effectively with production and quality teams to ensure consistent output.
