Assembly Mechanic

Location:

Livonia, MI

Pay: $18.00-$21.00/hour

Schedule:

  • Training:
    Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Regular Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
  • Overtime and weekends may be required based on production needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable, mechanically inclined Assembly Mechanics to join a growing manufacturing team in Livonia, MI. In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside experienced assemblers to build and assemble vehicle components and subassemblies while learning industry-standard manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with automotive, mechanical, manufacturing, or hands-on repair experience looking to grow their careers.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to work instructions and electronic build documentation.
  • Assist experienced assemblers with vehicle assembly and production activities.
  • Follow electronic build books and assembly procedures to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Move materials, components, and vehicles throughout the production facility.
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare parts and assemblies for production.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of mechanical, assembly, manufacturing, automotive, or related hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow electronic work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive shop coursework or vocational training.
  • Experience performing vehicle maintenance or mechanical repairs.
  • Previous manufacturing or production assembly experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
