Chemical Blending Operator
The McGean Chemical Company is a privately held specialty chemical company founded in 1929. The company is actively involved in developing, marketing, manufacturing, and selling chemical solutions to the global aviation maintenance industry and the specialty chemicals market. McGean is a growing company looking for hard working individuals with the need for a stable work environment in the chemical industry.
Hours per Week: 40 Plus OT
First Shift
Salary/Benefit Notes: $26.72/hour to start
Excellent Benefits package - medical, dental, 401K
Experience with handling chemicals, batch, or continuous chemical manufacturing is a plus
Primary purpose of job: Safely prepare, manufacture and package dry and liquid chemical products.
Major Duties of Job:
- Understand and follow all Plant safety rules and procedures.
- Operate all plant equipment and vehicles safely, including:
- Fork trucks
- Using scales to weigh containers and raw materials
- Liquid mixing tanks and powder ribbon blenders
- Pumps, flow meters and mixers to manufacture batches
- Barcode scanners and tablets to record inventory transactions
- Follow manufacturing instructions carefully to safely make liquid and powder chemical products.
- Accurately weigh and add raw materials using required personal protective equipment.
- Packaging of products into pails, drums and totes.
- Complete and accurate documentation of all required batch records.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
Seeking experience with handling chemicals, batch, or continuous chemical manufacturing.
