Assembly Line Operator

Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour (final rate determined by interview results and experience)

Overtime: Available as needed

Experience: No prior experience required — electronics, manufacturing, or assembly experience preferred

IPS Assembly Corp is a family-owned electronics contract manufacturer in Livonia, Michigan. We build printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses for automotive, industrial, and defense customers. With over 3,000 unique builds completed, we run a fast-paced, hands-on production floor where quality and on-time delivery come first.

We are hiring an Assembly Line Operator to join our production team. You will be trained on every stage of the electronics manufacturing process - no prior experience needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and works well with a team.

• Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) - surface mount (SMT) and through-hole
• Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses (cutting, stripping, crimping, terminating, routing)
• Operate and support production equipment on the assembly line
• Perform visual inspection and basic quality checks to workmanship standards
• Follow work instructions, drawings, and build documentation accurately
• Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe
• Support other production tasks as needed (kitting, packaging, rework, etc.)

• Reliable and punctual - timeliness is critical to this role
• Comfortable working with your hands and small components
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Willingness to learn new processes and take direction
• Team player who communicates well and helps others when needed
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand work
• Must be able to work on-site in Livonia, MI

• Prior experience in electronics, manufacturing, or assembly
• Familiarity with soldering, crimping, or hand tools
• Experience reading drawings or work instructions

• Starting pay of $17.00/hour, with final rate based on interview and experience
• Overtime opportunities as needed
