Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Operations Manager, the RN is accountable for direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology department. The position includes a consultative role with physicians, radiologists and other radiological staff, and may involve procedures in additional diagnostic areas as needed. Key duties include:
- Assisting the radiologist in invasive and non‑invasive procedures (e.g., kyphoplasty, fistulograms, permcaths, biopsies, filter placements, angioplasties).
- Preparing patients for procedures and providing education and care according to age‑specific criteria.
- Administering intravenous injections and medications.
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort and satisfaction throughout the visit.
- Participating in operational and clinical activities to maintain department compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Participating in emergency, on‑call and off‑shift rotations to provide 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.
- Performing duties in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision and service excellence standards.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required for new hires).
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan (required).
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire (required).
- BCLS certification (required).
- Experience in emergency, interventional, cardiac catheterization lab or CCU preferred.
- Self‑starter, motivated, with excellent communication skills and strong organizational ability.
- Residency within a 30‑minute call‑back radius of the hospital.
