Every day, the donors you meet motivate the development of life‑changing medicines. As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager and the Center Physician.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow standard operating procedures for medical emergencies, including development of physician standing orders and coordinating transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when unacceptable findings arise or when medical or technical guidance is required.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health or emergency response teams.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
• Provide center‑level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance.

• High school diploma or equivalent graduate nursing program with state licensing requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Attendance of state‑required basic IV therapy training.
• Completion of FDA-approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly Wage Range: $25.60 – $35.20 (U.S. location: Livonia, MI)
