DepartmentHeart Catheterization Lab.
ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self and the nursing process, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Handle 5-10 catheterization cases each day, including diagnostic and interventional procedures such as coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), stent placement, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurements, and treatment of STEMI.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or agreement to obtain BSN within five years. - Current RN licensure in Michigan required.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous medical-surgical or cath lab and/or ICU experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills.
