Works under the supervision of the hospice and/or palliative care at home manager. Provides nursing care to palliative care at home patients in accordance with the hospice and palliative care at home concept of care. Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the hospice and/or palliative care at home manager.
NO WEEKENDS, NO ON-CALL, NO HOLIDAYS
Shift: 8:30AM- 5PM

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Hospice and/or palliative care at home certification preferred.
- A working knowledge of current pain and symptom management, and experience appropriate to the needs of hospice and palliative care at home patients and their families is preferred.
- Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of hospice and palliative care at home to those who are referred to the program.
- Requires the ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet the needs presented by hospice and palliative care at home patients and families.
- Requires a valid drivers' license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES
REQUIRED:
Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
