About the Unit

We are an 11‑bed Emergency Center located in Livonia, MI. The center is a full‑service Emergency Center staffed by board‑certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and licensed nursing staff.

The Beaumont Emergency Center in Livonia offers the same high‑quality, comprehensive emergency care you would expect from other Corewell Health Beaumont locations. The center is located in your neighborhood and is not physically connected to a hospital. Close integration and collaboration with Beaumont’s hospitals enable efficient transitions to an inpatient setting if needed.

The Registered Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care. Responsibilities include patient‑family centered assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge. The RN delivers quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, following Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes.

The RN partners with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals in planning the plan of care, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning appropriately in the health record.
