Unit Profile

The 4W unit is a 27‑bed telemetry‑capable Medical–Surgical floor that provides care for patients with a wide range of conditions, including hypertension, electrolyte imbalances, urinary tract infections, COPD, and more. The unit operates as a highly functioning team, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent, high‑quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

SUMMARY (Responsibilities)

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health‑care team members, therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred;
Associate’s degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or agreement in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.

• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.

• BLS certification required.

• Previous medical‑surgical experience preferred.

• Computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills.
