Business Development Account Manager is centered on building strong connections, identifying new opportunities, winning business, and supporting ongoing projects across industrial, automotive, energy/power, and mission-critical construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Manage CRM systems, pursuit tracking, and supplier portals to support proposals and ensure project momentum
- Monitor and track client satisfaction through feedback and reporting tools
- Leverage AI-driven research to identify prospects, shape outreach strategies, and understand client needs
- Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and networking events
- Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and leadership teams to align strategies and meet client expectations
- Stay informed on market trends and upcoming opportunities to generate new leads
- Build and maintain a robust network of designers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM tools, Viewpoint, and AI platforms is a plus
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Solid understanding of construction life cycles and self-perform services (earthwork, concrete, steel, interiors)
- 10+ years of experience in construction, with a background in business development, preconstruction, or project management
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in industrial or general construction environments (automotive, energy, or mission-critical sectors preferred)
