Job Description
Job Title: HVAC Installer
Reports To: HVAC Team Lead, Project Manager, Operations Manager
Job Summary:
Under indirect supervision, provide assistance and have the ability to perform assignments independently related to the installation, alteration and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Systems include, but are not limited to , HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and electrical.

Job Duties:
- Assist team members and will occasionally work independently in the installation and retrofitting of mechanical equipment. Must be proficient in installing ductwork, HVAC equipment, heat pumps, pumps, VAV boxes, hydronic coils, air compressors, cooling towers, boilers, sheet metal, plumbing, piping and electrical equipment. Must have the ability to read prints, provide hours to estimate change orders, meet project schedule and coordinate with other trades at various locations as assigned and dispatched.
- May assist and/or perform inspections and conduct periodic general preventative maintenance to building mechanical and plumbing systems. This involves normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, and periodic testing of building systems and equipment including but not limited to, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air handling units, boilers, VAV boxes, variable frequency drives, water heaters and air compressors, etc.
- Fill out daily work logs, and provide photos.
- Be courteous, neat, clean, and in proper uniform; always representing the company in a professional, moral and ethical manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in shop. Maintain current inventory of supplies in shop and vehicles for optimal use on jobs.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations including but not limited to gas leaks, broken water pipes and equipment failure.
- Coordinate and follow up with customers regarding installation issues, change orders or scheduled shut down of equipment for repairs or replacement as directed by project lead or supervisor.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
- Ability to work nights and weekends, if necessary, for after hours scheduled installations and for emergency maintenance and repair functions.
- Ensure installations and repairs are in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal codes, regulations and company directives as relates to building operations.

Skills/
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum of 2 years of field experience in the installation of commercial and residential equipment including, but not limited to, packaged rooftop equipment, split systems, air handlers, condensers, pumps, boilers, fans ,cooling towers, VFD’s, etc.
- Own tools of the trade
- Clean driving record
- Chauffer’s license
- DOT medical card
- OSHA 10 Safety card
