Maintenance Technician Job Description

MAVD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide outstanding service to our tenants in a Class A commercial office environment. The prospective candidates must work well both independently, under supervision, and have a strong customer oriented work ethic.

• Provide onsite completion of maintenance service request as assigned.
• Communicate with team members and management to complete work orders in a timely fashion.
• Maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, HVAC, appliance repair, general building maintenance, and repair of building equipment (i.e. refrigeration, heating, electrical, and plumbing equipment).
• Installation of new equipment as necessary.
• Repairs and maintains equipment and machinery.
• Ensures that preventative maintenance procedures are carried out on a scheduled basis and completes maintenance records for equipment.
• Assists in development of programs of regular preventive maintenance for all equipment.
• Provides insight into inventory of replacement parts, supplies and hardware.
• Operation of company vehicle
• Report all major repairs and requisitions to the Property Manager prior to any expenditure of funds.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, vendors, and general public.
• Demonstrates sound judgment.
• Performs well under pressure.
• Maintains the highest safety and customer service standards.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (at least 60 lbs.), climb ladders up to 24 ft., stand and walk for 8 hours, and perform other physically demanding duties as directed.
• Participates in the on-call rotation with other company Maintenance Technicians
• Other Duties as assigned
