Job Description:
Salary: $50,000/year
- Provide support and assistance to program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement.
- Work in an evolving environment, comfortably adapting to changing dynamics with individuals.
- Remain organized and efficiently handle several simultaneous responsibilities.
- Provide consistent and comprehensive case management, coaching, and follow‑up.
- Conduct individualized assessment of work, family, and personal development needs and opportunities.
- Use a coaching approach to create collaborative, transparent relationships with participants and support them in achieving their defined goals.
- Assist participants in eliminating obstacles to obtaining and retaining employment.
- Monitor participant activity to meet the state’s Work Participation Rate (WPR) requirement.
- Create activity plans that adhere to program policies and satisfy participation requirements.
- Adhere to program policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular contacts/meetings with participants, documenting all contacts and activities in case notes.
- Ensure participants follow through on planned activities; resolve attendance issues; conduct non‑compliance processes.
- Provide referrals to appropriate community or social service agencies when needed.
- Assist in preparing project reports (participation, placement, etc.)
- Ensure participant documentation is complete, accurate, and valid.
- Communicate and share information with partner agencies.
- Develop articles that celebrate participant success stories.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
- Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain flexibility as contract needs change.
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
- Workforce development experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Staff providing career coaching must obtain the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certificate within one year of hire.
