Baseline Program Requirements:Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited university

As a Manufacturing Planning & Simulation Strategic Intern you will be working with Senior Architects and Development Engineers in the Siemens Digital Industries Software Division. The development program will offer valuable insight into manufacturing software techniques using AI and other tools to deliver product capabilities to the market.
Responsibilities:Familiarize yourself with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management enterprise solutions in Manufacturing Planning and Simulation
Help create a research and development environment.
Assist in defining and developing agentic tools.
Create Prompts for identified services that can feed into LLM.
Showcase the results to management team and startups across the Manufacturing Planning and Simulation to drive the S/W roadmap.
Be able to learn in a self-paced manner.
Competent with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Studio and Visual Code
Awareness and Knowledge of AI and Agentic AI concepts in particular Large Language Models Prompting MCP interfaces for skills RAG concepts Copilots and knowledge databases
Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages:
Python, C++ and Java Scripts – proven coding experienceKnowledge of scripting languages such as Power Shell Bash Scripting is a plus.
Work effectively in a Team environment.
Be able to analyze complex scenarios and have critical thinking skills.
A Junior or a Senior, pursuing a degree in Engineering.
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
