What will you be doing?

As our Bar Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the bar, leading and supporting your team to deliver excellent service and a great experience for our guests.

Guest experience is at the heart of everything we do, and you'll help create a friendly and welcoming environment for both our guests and team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the daily front and back of house bar operations.
  • Leading, organising and supervising the bar team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maximising guest satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all drinks and products are prepared and served to the required quality standards.
  • Responding efficiently and professionally to guest feedback and resolving any issues or dissatisfaction.
  • Training, mentoring and supporting new and existing team members to ensure they follow the correct operational procedures.
  • Maintaining good product knowledge and ensuring the team understands the products available.
  • Managing stock levels and supporting effective cellar management.
  • Managing cash handling procedures and ensuring accurate cash management.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, Health & Safety and presentation throughout the bar.
  • Ensuring licensing requirements and relevant legislation are followed.
  • Working closely with other departments to provide a seamless experience for our guests.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for an experienced bar professional who is confident leading a team and passionate about providing excellent customer service.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in managing or supervising a bar team.
  • Confident in training, mentoring and developing team members.
  • Friendly, approachable and able to lead by example.
  • Organised and able to manage the demands of a busy bar environment.
  • A confident communicator with strong active listening skills.
  • Knowledgeable about drinks and the standards required to deliver them to a high quality.
  • Experienced in cash handling and management.
  • Knowledgeable about cellar management.
  • Aware of Health & Safety requirements within public bar spaces and events.
  • Familiar with licensing laws and the responsibilities associated with running a bar.

A Personal Licence would be an advantage for this role. If you don't currently hold one, we can provide access to the relevant training if required.
