Laundry Assistant

What do we want?

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to support the smooth running of our laundry operations. This role is essential in ensuring our linen is cleaned, maintained and replenished to a high standard. You will work independently while being part of the wider housekeeping team, following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, tidy working environment. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

This is a 32-hour per week position.

• Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
• Checking, folding and organising freshly laundered items
• Performing minor sewing and repair duties when required
• Replacing and replenishing laundry supplies
• Ordering linen and ensuring stock levels are accurate
• Maintaining a clean and tidy laundry workspace
• Reporting maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times
• Working evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience (desirable, not essential)
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures

• £12.60 per hour plus a share of hotel tips
• Permanent contract, 32 hours per week
• 28 days holiday per year (29 after 1 year)
