Skilled Aircraft Fitter; Electrician

Overview

Join Guidant as we collaborate with the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. We are seeking skilled Aircraft Fitters to join Airbus' Systems and Equipping areas, based at the Broughton site within the Wing Build Production section.

This role is not an Electrician position; however candidates with an electrical background bring valuable experience in installation, routing, testing, fault finding and working to technical drawings and standards.

• Installation, fitting and integration of aircraft systems and equipment.
• Conduct repairs on metallic and composite materials.
• Work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, build instructions and specifications.
• Carry out functional checks, continuity checks and basic system testing.
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Record work accurately in accordance with company and aviation standards.
• Occasionally work in confined spaces or at height.
• Flexible shift options.
• Double Days:
  Week 1 - 06:00 to 13:10, Week 2 - 13:30 to 20:40 (Mon to Fri).
• Nights: 20:45 to 06:00 (Mon to Thurs).

• Complete a Domestic or Commercial Electrician full Apprenticeship including an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).

At Broughton, the site designs, tests, and manufactures the wings for all Airbus' commercial aircraft, except for the A220, directly sustaining about 9,000 UK jobs. It is home to a workforce of 6,000 Airbus highly skilled personnel, with a long aerospace manufacturing legacy.
