Certified Dental Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, as we cater to patients of all ages.

• Assist dentist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas following infection control guidelines

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
• Radiation Health and Safety License
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages
• Basic knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry
