This role requires strong engagement with production operators and is responsible for promoting operator involvement, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor has direct supervisory responsibility for Production Operators.
LOCATION:
Lock Haven, PA Responsibilities Responsible for the safety of all production operations, including the continuous improvement of safety culture and accountability among operators. Responsible for the execution of General Safe Work Permits within the department and ensuring that SNF rules are followed by operators, maintenance staff, and contractors working in operational areas. Investigates day-to-day production issues and directly supervises production operators, escalating matters to the Production Manager only as needed.
Works daily and weekly with the Materials Management department and the Production Manager to ensure all required resources are available to safely produce plant products on time and meet customer orders. Responsible for achieving production, quality, customer, and HSE goals within the department. Drives continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and quality through training and the use of Manufacturing Excellence mindsets, behaviors, and technical systems.
Responsible for completing inspections, audits, and related follow-up activities. Ensures that Production department SOPs and batch sheets are understood and followed. Provides training to employees as needed and assesses the training level of direct reports. Ensures production information is entered accurately into the administrative system, OMNIS, for inventory control. Completes all required written and digital reports for the position, including OEE, ME, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Collaborates with the Maintenance department on the prioritization, planning, and execution of maintenance activities within his/her area of responsibility. Identifies and helps resolve operational irritants to support employee engagement when supervisory involvement is required. Escalates more complex issues to site management for resolution. Maintains a high level of communication and trust with the management team and direct manager to ensure management objectives are effectively translated to the shop floor, and production goals are met.
Understands and follows operational practices, transportation requirements, health and safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and ISO 9001 quality procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
- Required;
College degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Chemical processing or manufacturing; prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. LICENSES AND

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example, support change, and work effectively in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and mathematical skills. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, PI, Gensuite, and other software required for the position. Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs, batch sheets, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Able to work overtime as needed. BENEFITS:
