Back Door Attendant
- Retail Program
Accept donations from the public.
Essential Functions- Accept donations from the general public
- Assist in the unloading of donated items from donors' vehicles
- Treat all customers with respect
- Refuse any donation that does not meet Goodwill's standards (e.g., torn, stained, broken furniture or large appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers and dryers) with discretion and inform the customer to take such items to the local processing center in Falls Creek between 8:00am and 2:30pm, Monday through Friday
- Offer a tax donation slip and sign acknowledging acceptance of donations
- Store donations in a way that maximizes available space, stacking in a safe and orderly manner; all loose donations must be packed into bags or boxes
- Constantly check the area outside the building for litter and keep it clean; donations left outside in off hours should be immediately placed inside
- Assist in the loading and unloading of the Goodwill truck
- In winter, ensure access is kept clear of snow and ice
Works under the direct supervision of the Store Manager/Assistant Manager; additionally, reports to the Senior Sales Manager, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries and/or the Vice President of Retail Operations.

- Quality, quantity, and timeliness in the performance of assigned tasks
- Reflection of Goodwill's high moral and integrity standards in conduct
- Adherence to Goodwill dress code and personal hygiene
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training provided
- Good work habits such as an acceptable attitude and punctuality
- Respond appropriately to supervision
- Adequate physical endurance to meet industrial standards
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50pounds
