We'll also provide you with a company-owned service van, and you'll be in charge of maintaining the vehicle and your parts inventory.
ROAD SERVICE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS- 18+ years of age
- High school degree (or equivalent) or a technical degree in a trade like automotive
- 3+ years of related mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the shift with minimal opportunities to sit
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move 100+ pounds
- Ability to work in wet, humid, cold, and hot conditions
- Experience servicing automotive or industrial equipment
- Welding, diesel, and gas engine experience
- Able to think critically and solve problems independently
- Able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to use computers and electronic devices for document submission
- Able to remain cool and calm during tense situations
- Strong organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines
- Professional customer service mentality
- Positive and friendly collaborative spirit
Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
In this role, you'll travel to customers' locations and perform top-notch repairs, diagnostics, and planned maintenance on their lift equipment. You'll listen to the customer's concerns, closely inspect the equipment, and troubleshoot various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems. Following all safety and company procedures, you'll perform accurate repairs and test the equipment to ensure proper functioning. You'll treat customers respectfully, recommend additional services when appropriate, and properly document your work performed and parts used.
Some travel may be required to pick up parts and address other on-site needs. As you wrap up your work, you'll make sure all safety decals are legible and manuals are available. You'll complete detailed job documentation, submit reports to the service coordinator and parts department, and assist in other areas as needed to keep our company successful and customers satisfied!
Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.
