Job Description

RBFCU Branch Operations Team is seeking a full‑time Branch Member Service Representative at the Lockhart branch. The base pay is $20.00 per hour, and new hires receive a $250 sign‑on bonus in the first paycheck, $500 after 90 days, and $500 after six months. Employees who complete the RBFCU Bilingual Spanish/English certification can earn an additional $2.00 per hour.

• Provide enthusiastic, professional, prompt, and courteous service to members, prospective members, and the RBFCU team.
• Process a variety of transactions across in‑person, video, drive‑thru, and telephonic channels.
• Maintain control of cash and negotiable instruments in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
• Engage members and prospective members in consultative, needs‑based conversations, actively listening, asking open‑ended questions, and demonstrating empathy to uncover financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services while consistently meeting or exceeding minimum sales goals.
• Support the RBFCU sales culture and reinforce best practices, model consultative behaviours, and uphold a high level of self‑accountability to performance expectations.
• Act as a Branch Reservist, taking calls for the Member Service Center to handle incoming requests via this channel.
• Assess all deposits for potential fraud and each interaction for impersonation to mitigate fraud losses.
• Assist members and prospective members with needs that involve other internal departments such as Consumer Lending, Mortgage, and Credit Union Service Organizations, while complying with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
• Qualify members, open, update, or close accounts, and maintain current knowledge of the RBFCU Membership and Account Agreement.
• Prepare various teller reports and escort members to designated areas when requested.
• Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months of work experience in a financial institution, customer service, or sales role.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential; must work a flexible Monday through Saturday schedule.
• Must be able to cover staffing at any location within the region, including branch transfers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem‑solving ability, timely decision‑making, and common sense in executing detailed written or oral instructions.
• Proficiency in using PCs, software, and office equipment.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Good vision (correctable), hearing, and manual dexterity; able to reach with hands and arms and speak clearly.
• Preferred:
  Bilingual in English and Spanish.
