Pay - $49,160 Annual Salary
Schedule - Full Time, Monday – Friday

Essential Duties:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Major course work in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science or a related field preferred. Each year of experience as described below, more than the required four (4) years may be substituted for thirty (30) semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis.
- Four (4) years full-time wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment.
- Current licensure in one of the following:
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) OR;
- Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Texas Commission of Professional Counselors OR;
- Current valid Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) identified by DSHS OR;
- Valid certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) as approved by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals.
- Therapeutic community environment experience preferred.
- Experience in the supervision of employees preferred.
- Must hold a current CPR certification and maintain a valid license for continued employment.
- Valid driver's license in the state of Texas, unless waived by management.
- Must complete Correctional awareness Training (CAT) prior to inmate contact.
- Must successfully complete TDCJ approved annual background and in-service requirements. Must maintain valid Counselor Intern status or CCJP-A certification for continued employment in position.
