Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a contract-to-hire basis. • Process high-volume vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
• Perform invoice matching, coding, and data entry into the accounting system
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries professionally
• Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and month-end close activities
• Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files and AP documentation
• Partner with internal departments to ensure proper approvals and compliance

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with accounting systems and solid Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
