Qualifications:
Professional Educator License (PEL), Educator License with Stipulations (ELS); or a State of Illinois Certified Substitute License Salary: $135.00 (daily rate for teacher positions) or $120 (daily rate for aide positions); the normal work day is 8:05am-3:25pm Job Goal:
To serve the district as a substitute teacher; to guide and inspire students to learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as young, able, and responsible learners. Performance Responsibilities:
Follows the lesson plans and schedule of the regular classroom teacher. Adheres to the published policies and procedures of the district as outlined in the Board of Education Policy Manual, the Personnel Handbook, and the Support Staff Handbook Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Reports suspected child abuse cases as required by state and district policies.
Meets accepted standards of professional behavior. Exhibits competency in subject area and elementary/ middle school classroom instruction. Meets and instructs assigned classes and fulfills non-teaching assignments in the proper location at the times assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by the building principal.
