Position: School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Lockport, Illinois

A position is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver specialized services to a K-12 student with autism. This contract role supports a structured school year (CSY) schedule and is located in Lockport, IL.

Key Qualifications
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings
  • Proven ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with autism
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with educators, families, and related service providers
Location
  • Lockport, Illinois, supporting a school-based environment serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade
Responsibilities
  • Provide 100 to 120 minutes of direct occupational therapy services weekly to an autistic student
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, adjusting intervention strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support throughout the student's educational program
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state policies
